Quick Shiitake Mushroom and Pork Recipe

Stir-Fried Fresh Shiitake Mushrooms with Pork Slices平菇炒肉片

Ingredients

  • Fresh shiitake mushrooms: 20 pieces
  • Pork: 100 g
  • Light soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Oyster sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Cooking oil: 3 tablespoons
  • Spring onion: about half a stalk
  • Cornstarch: 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shiitake mushrooms: Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and slice them.
  2. Chop the spring onion: Finely chop the spring onion.
  3. Marinate the pork: Slice the pork thinly and mix it with 1/2 tablespoon of light soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Prepare cornstarch slurry: Mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with a small bowl of water until smooth. Set aside.
  5. Stir-frying
    • Heat oil in a pan. Add the chopped spring onion and stir-fry until fragrant.
    • Add the marinated pork slices and stir-fry until just cooked through. Pour in 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce and mix well.
    • Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and continue stir-frying.
  6. Season and thicken
    • Just before removing from the heat, add 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce and mix well.
    • Finally, pour in the prepared cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve
