Ingredients

  • Smoked tofu: 2 pieces
  • Light soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Celery: 1 bunch
  • Spring onion: 1 small piece
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Dark soy sauce: ½ tablespoon
  • Monosodium glutamate (MSG) (or vegetable broth): a pinch
  • Ginger: 3 slices
  • Cooking wine: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the celery
    • Wash the celery and cut it diagonally into pieces.
    • Blanch the celery briefly in boiling water, rinse under cold water, and drain.
  2. Cut the smoked tofu
    • Cut the smoked tofu
    • Slice the smoked tofu into strips and set aside.
  3. Prepare the aromatics
    • Cut the spring onion and ginger into small pieces.
  4. Sauté the aromatics
    • Heat some oil in a pan and stir-fry the spring onion and ginger until fragrant.
  5. Add the smoked tofu
    • Add the smoked tofu to the pan, then stir in the light soy sauce and cooking wine. Stir-fry briefly.
    • Add the celery and seasoning
    • Add the prepared celery to the pan. Season with salt, dark soy sauce, and a pinch of Monosodium glutamate (MSG) (or vegetable broth). Stir-fry everything for about 1 minute.
  6. Once everything is evenly mixed, remove from the pan and serve.
