Ingredients
- Green beans (flat variety): 300g
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Dark soy sauce: ½ tablespoon
- Light soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: ½ teaspoon
Instructions
- Preparation: Wash the green beans and slice them into fine strips. For best results, place the beans flat on a cutting board and slice them diagonally into thin strands, which helps them cook faster and absorb flavors better.
- Mince the garlic: Finely chop the garlic cloves.
- Start cooking: Heat oil in a wok to 150°C (300°F). Add half of the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, around 2 minutes.
- Add the green beans: Add the green bean strips to the wok and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Season: Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and a small pinch of salt. Continue to stir-fry.
- Add water in stages: Over high heat, add 100 ml of water in five separate additions. Each time, stir-fry until most of the water evaporates before adding the next portion. Continue until all 100 ml of water has been used up.
- Finish with garlic: Just before removing from heat, add the remaining garlic. Stir-fry until the garlic releases its fragrance, then remove from heat and serve.
