Ingredients

  • Green onions: 2 stalks
  • Oyster mushrooms: 700 g
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Monosodium glutamate (MSG): ½ teaspoon
  • Oyster sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Dried chili peppers: 2 (optional)
  • Ginger (minced): 2 slices
  • Garlic (minced): 1 clove
  • Cooking oil: 5 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Wash the oyster mushrooms and tear them into evenly sized strips.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil, blanch the oyster mushrooms for 1 minute, then drain and rinse them with cold water. Squeeze out any excess water.
  3. Mince the ginger and garlic, and cut the dried chilies into small pieces (optional, if you want it spicy). Cut the green onions into sections; you can also skip this or substitute with chives if preferred.
  4. Heat a wok or pan, add the cooking oil, then add the minced ginger, garlic, and dried chilies, and stir-fry until fragrant.
  5. Add the oyster mushrooms and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Season with salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and Monosodium glutamate (MSG).
  6. Add the green onions and stir-fry briefly until fragrant.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
